Vivian believes that everyone deserves a place where they feel supported, understood, and not alone. She brings a warm, compassionate presence to therapy, creating a space where clients can breathe a little easier and explore what they’re going through without judgment. Her passion is building a genuine, collaborative relationship that helps people heal, grow, and feel more grounded in their lives.
Clients often describe Vivian as thoughtful, authentic, and easy to connect with. She welcomes those who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or hurting—emotionally or physically—and offers steady support as they navigate difficult moments. With a gentle blend of empathy, humour, and practical guidance, she helps clients explore their struggles, recognize their strengths, and move toward meaningful change.
Vivian is a lifelong learner who is dedicated to offering optimal care, and she has advanced training in Trauma, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Addictions from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from the University of Toronto and SickKids. She is also a Certified EMDR clinician. Her commitment to evidence-based approaches ensures that clients receive support that is both compassionate and effective.
Before becoming a registered psychotherapist, Vivian spent more than 30 years as a registered nurse.
Her humanitarian work on international medical missions—supporting children and adults in need of reconstructive surgery in remote regions of China in 2001, and helping communities recover after the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan—deeply shaped her understanding of resilience and the impact of trauma.
These experiences continue to guide her therapeutic approach today, enriching the care she provides.
In her practice, Vivian helps clients make sense of their experiences, uncover patterns that no longer serve them, and build coping strategies that support emotional well-being. She brings together her healthcare background, global experiences, and clinical training to offer care that is personalized, grounded, and heartfelt.
Vivian’s goal is to walk alongside you as you heal, rediscover your strengths, and move toward a life that feels more connected, balanced, and hopeful.
